IS YOUR INSTITUTION "USER-FRIENDLY" FOR OLDER ADULTS?
TAKE THIS SHORT QUIZ TO FIND OUT
It is easy to say that one's healthcare institution is user-friendly for older adults but, as
indicated in the "Understanding and Serving the Needs of an Aging Population" article, it is often the top administrators who do not really know the answer. This self-questionnaire is not the entire answer but it goes a long way toward being a warning sign if all is not well for the elderly at your institution.
QUIZ INSTRUCTIONS
Take this interactive test, answering "yes" or "no" to each
question; your score will be automatically tallied . The key for interpreting the friendliness of your institution is located at the end of the test. If you have any difficulty understanding a question, please
refer to Chapter IV, "The Ultimate in User-Friendliness for the Aging Population".
The first seven questions are fundamental to user-friendliness. A "no" to any
one of them terminates the test because, regardless of score, your institution is not positioned to properly serve the senior population, either for their benefit or yours.
